We met at our church's Back to Church BBQ, where we sat and talked for a few hours. I thought Cheyenne was a sweet, beautiful, strong woman firm in her faith, and Cheyenne thought I was a very smart and intellegent man with a good head on his shoulders that is also very deeply rooted in his faith. We went on a date that week, and by Wednesday we were officially dating.
Engagement Story
How it Happened
We got engaged on February 14th, 2026 at Blind Pass Beach on the west coast of Florida.
We spent the day searching the beaches for shark teeth and finding almost none.
After an early dinner at 3:30 at Cheyenne's favorite restaurant - Sharkey's on the Pier -
I began looking for the right beach spot to propose.
Believe it or not, beaches at sunset on the west coast on Valentine's Day were packed with people.
So it took us a while to find a beach where we could have a little privacy.
After passing over 3 beaches, I decided that the next one (Blind Pass Beach) was the one we were going to choose no matter what.
It was the perfect spot... except for the freezing cold water that we were standing in 😂.
I used the age-old well-honed tactic of pointing at the ground and saying, "Oh look a shark tooth", and then proposed while she was distracted.
She said yes, the rest is history.
Bonus points - after I proposed, we found about 20 shark teeth at our feet.

Ceremony | June 6th 2pm
Our wedding ceremony will take place in our home church. This is where we met and where we will begin our new life together. We cannot imagine exchanging our vows anywhere else, and it means so much to us to be surrounded by the people who have supported, encouraged, and loved us along the way. Having our friends and family there to witness this commitment makes the moment even more meaningful, and we are truly grateful to share the beginning of our marriage with you.
Reception | June 6th 5pm
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with all of you! We will be hosting a reception with food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, music, dancing, and cake. To ensure a smooth and safe celebration, we kindly request that children remain under parental supervision at all times.
